into the garden one perfect drop fell onto the top of the great tree of life
it kept on falling right down to the tip of the last leaf on the end of its lowest branch
the singular glitter of this single point danced there suspended on a shelf of warm air
inside it a complete universe turned
gave off the brilliance of emeralds
yearned with green desire to join another exactly like itself
while the fires of birth watching over all continued to turn and burn and
burn

Thank you for the dedication of this lovely poem, Michael. Sometimes I think you and I are the same side of the same coin.
It is you who is the brilliant diamond in the rough. My heart's eyes look deeply into those of your heart's and expand with gratitude as your lifeblood courses through the circulatory system of your love.

This one shines bright, Michael, the universe gleaming emerald was a perfect touch, which brought a grand smile to my face. I'm not so sure on the need for the garden of eden. I think I'd prefer it without that reference either starting with one perfect drop, or start at the beginning as is now with just garden instead of garden of eden. Lovely write! -piper

Love the structure as it moves the poem from top to bottom like the rain dripping down leaves and branches, love the fine use of language. Well written and well dedicated, Mick. Ron

Jon----
you and I are formed together with no beginning
and with no end inside the eye of the Beholder
who had decided to grow so He could see Himself
and so He twinned Himself
and His twin became as limitless as He
and was called The Limitless One
the One without beginning without end
the One who dwelt inside the eye of the Beholder
just as we...
love ya, michael

piper----I am so blessed you loved the emerald----it is sooo my Irish heart!----Maggie's too...
I should explain that the reason for Eden in the poem is that this is the actual story of the actual Tree of Life, and the process of creation, given in the Zohar, the twenty-three volume book through which one may become a student of Kabbalah----if a person decides to study Kabbalah, I imagine they continue the study in all of their succeeding lives, as it is far too great a work to be learned in just one lifetime, and perhaps can never be fully learned, as it is infinite in both depth and scope...

No, I know, Michael, I just think just "garden" without the "of eden" would work for me just as well.... but, that's me... as for the emerald, yeah, my freckles and I have finally become friends after all these years. :-)
