Money speaks
a language of its own -
it says interesting things
from time to time.
We should listen to it
to understand
what it is to be human
in a world of money.
When I passed
the restaurant,
I heard once again
someone
in a high-pitched voice
saying: “Time is money.”
People were joking
on the terrace,
and talking
about practical things.
Suddenly I became sad,
feeling my poems
would never be part
of the huge global effort
to change the world.
