With his feet
planted firmly
to the earth,
a six foot man
will drown in
five feet of water.
He can breathe
by looking up
to the stars (and get wet behind the ears),
but,
he is still
just moistened
shark food.
Swimming with them (the sharks)
only prolongs their feast.
Get out of the water.
The fishing
from shore
is great
with all the
bobbing chum
looking up. (Like the sharks below them)
Cast your line out past
the feeding frenzy
into deeper water,
kick back and
feel for little nibbles.
Thinking is optional.
Concern, however,
is unavoidable
with this view
of the slaughter.
