Reunion .
We bought on sale your weakened back and wilted head.
Tiny sprawls of white hairy ends crammed through every exit of a green square plastic pot.
We thought, why not to take a chance; what’s to lose?
The price we paid was minuscule; add tap water, and earthen food.
Nothing more than warm sunny days-- eternal hope to postulate.
When you first bloomed-- year-to-date; we danced under the tall slant of blackened oak that grandfather rescued from a bad episode.
Now flowers dress our center space of common talk and kinship grace.

Nice one, Ron. Very well crafted with the combination of internal and end rhymes.
Love the stanza about dancing under your grandfather's tree that he rescued.
I'd like to know the name of the rescued plant.

Ron, thank you for the name of the plant and the link with the picture - awesome!
This uplifting poem is one of my favorites of yours - excellent in craftsmanship, imagery and quality.
Regards, Marion

I to like to resurrect plants …and more if I can. Full of timeless simplicity I particularly liked “Now flowers dress our center space of common talk and kinship grace.”
