Universal Truth

that which has no center
nor edge
nor boundary
save the confines
and limitations of the mind

each point of light
contained within

a BIC lighter
raised high
at a rock concert

tribute of adoration

exultation

verification of oneness
unity and accord

and I alone
am the band

my rifs and strains
ignite the light
swirling in the cosmos

the drum I beat
causes Ceres to pulse

my vocals flame
the tail of Haley's Comet

and when
in years to come
my music is stilled

all will go dark

not because my eyes no longer see
or my skin no longer feels the heat
rather the universe
will have lost its beat

if only for a split second
if only for an eternity

until another bard
walks on stage
whispering to the night

we must compare notes! I'm pretty sure my delusions of grandeur far exceed your own! Just kidding... I think. I love the BIC tribute and adoration line! and ... another bard... I suspect the universe barely blips a beat for sots like us... but the flavor is full.

really enjoyed this one Jarls... I agree with Mags that it could stand a little trimming. Some of the 'I's and 'my's' could be deleted with the result a bit less um, as Half said, delusional ,lol. it's really good. Thanks for the read. Tina
