The Casting
Flood of God's power, cascade down me; heal me, my Lord, and set me free! I lift up my voice, no longer afraid of the forces beyond a guarded grave.
Be thou removed, I banish thee, spurious, demonic deity; by His mighty name, *Jehovah-Rophe, leave from here to a distant offing!
GD Martin
*(Hebrew name of God, "The Lord Heals")
One day I had a fever, and I commanded it to leave, and it fled immediately by a name I used, that is now politically incorrect to mention.

Hola, GD, I find your use of , "enigma" in your poem to be the most interesting word of all; I've seen a few others try to use it, sometimes with "puzzling" results, if you will allow me. I am not really saying anything, except that it inspired me, and challenged me to write a poem, using the same word, right after I had seen your poem at another site. I am about to post mine here, so thank you for the idea. *Angel

Fever-World Meditation
Flood of God's power, cascade down me; heal me, my Lord, and make set me free!
I lift up my voice, no longer afraid of (the) forces beyond a guarded grave.*
* What a great line, Gary.
Consider adding 'the' to put it in meter.
Sorry to hear you where that ill.
Hope you're on the mend.
