No, the cup rests right there exactly where you left it last without judgements, opinions, or choices.
Like the empty space between stars that waits for memories to fill it in.

Great opening line, but both stanzas below say pretty much the same thing, Justin. And the second doesn't really talk about the coffee, it talks about a cup. Call it a dark brew, but not a cup. Give the image some depth.
