Hi, Vasile and Maggie. Just dropped by to see what's up, saw the "hi's"and now have stopped to chat. Vasile, it's great to hear you again. Maggie, you're still holding this place together. Wonderful.
I haven't written a poem in about two years. Parkinson's began to shut that door about five years ago, and now poetry is lost to me. But I had a great time working with you guys. Maggie, I still have my membership on Fanstory.com and have the comments from reviewers of my first poems. You are among them.
Sterling Peony encouraged me to think aboug publishing a book of my poems, and then Jim selelected me to be the first something-or-other and my first book was published,"Searching for the Spring. I published three more ("From the Heart," "A Dog Is a Gift"and " Clouds of Glory". I've sold over $50,000 worh of books. And I've had a ball giving readings all around Maine. I'm glad I discoverd poetry and had a five year window to get to know you fellow poets.
I now have multiple myeloma, a cancer of the blood and bone marrow, so Ann and I are ptretty much focusing on keeping me as healthy as we can. She's an angel.
I have fond memories of you guys.
Ken

Hi Ken!
Warm greetings both to you and yours! It is very good to hear from you. I remember the good moments and discussions we had on this site. And your poems are so special. Time to time I open your books and read, and this is a gift I would like to thank you again for.
My best,
Vasile

Hi, Vasile. I have just had a wonder4ful thing happen. My cousin, who is a professor of music, has set one of my poems to music. The site that I use to listen to the music is in Estoniaa, when the choir was on tour. Go to tartuolikoolitelevisioon. It is a video of the choir's program at the artu University. Then scroll down the listing of musical pieces to be performed to" Jean Henderlson Hymns of Joy." Click on that. I am very excited about this.

It's so good to hear from, Ken, but not so good to hear about the multiple myeloma.
Old age certainly comes with a lot of Latin names, doesn't it.
I tried to locate the site you mentioned, but couldn't. Can you check the address for me? What a wonderful thing having one of your poems set to music.
I did a reduction of David's THE VAMPIRE SONNETS for the stage; it was performed in Raleigh at Burning Coal Theatre this past January.
Interpretive dance and music went along with the reading.
We will be staging another perfomance this October with a longer script.
It should be fun.
Give my best to Ann, who indeed qualifies for angel status.
I'll try to send you some pics from the show.
All my best thoughts for you both, Ken.
Maggie

Ken, I have not been able to enter that link. It might be a wrong letter or so... Maybe you could re-type it. Thank you very much! Vasile

I believe that the correct link to the video is: www.uttv.ee/naita?id=5394I am checking the site now to see if you can download the video, but I see no reason why folks should not be able to use the link I pasted above. The site should not be blocked unless you are behind a business firewall where your browsing options are restricted. Daniel

Once the video is playing you need to scroll down on the right side of the video and select Jean Hendersons Hymns of Joy at the 23:29 - 28:17 mark
The video is part of the UTTV web service and you would need to contact the administrators of that site in order to get the content in a downloadable format.
