ugly tree, alone, middling all that graceful, mannered alpine grass; no cultivated forest would claim or touch such a thrawn iconoclast; insect crusted branches gnash at running skies; brash roots contort, masticate the dry granite-gravelled ground.
its lust for all that’s wild draws frenetic winds; harsh chaotic moans shriek berserk, strip brown bark skin provide a sensate tree with most satisfying sin.
this aged mountain fir, twisted, worn, bloodied in its own pitch dripped from wood cracked, ripped, rent by storm, stood as time’s outcast, and will stand still, bent yet erect, undeterred until the last.
