Our father, who's Art and heaven, holy is thy self. My king's coming home Thy will was done on earth through family prayer. Give us this day more reason to love Thee. And forgive us our doubt for Thou art beyond doubt. Lead us ever closer to Thee and lift the veil of our ignorance. For Thou art the Eternal, Whose majesty is revealed in each of Thy children. *
*My dad (Arthur-86 and in fine health) was hospitalized on Thursday night, quite suddenly. He could not swallow, and consequently could not eat or drink, because his epiglottis was open, and whatever he would have ingested would have gone into his lungs instead of his esophagus. He was put on IV fluids only. After a battery of tests, where all results were negative (they wanted to rule out stroke, neurological issues, etc.) the otolaryngologist determined the problem was caused by a severely inflamed larynx, and dad was able to eat and drink today. While deep in prayer this afternoon, (before I knew he was going to be all right) the phone rang; it was my brother Adam calling to tell me the wonderful news. I wrote this now in utmost thanks.

Jon, I too, believe in the power of prayer. I am glad to hear that your father is doing well. I will offer a prayer as well for his continued improvement. Hope your father will be home from the hospital soon.
It's a beautiful prayer-poem. Marion

O Lord, that is soooo cool...and loving....and joyously beautiful beyond beyond beyond----the first line is a crack-up magnifique!----you have this uncanny facility of making michael laugh and cry at the same time with every one of your witty, tongue-in-cheek lines!----but the best one is the first one----"Our father, who's Art and heaven," a true classic that needs to be framed and hung in your dining room...
so happy for you, michael
ps----I have this smiling awareness that you caused quite a stir with this poem in the higher realms of light----lots of angelic laughter is bouncing around in the supraluminal stratospheres...

A beautiful tribute/prayer and i am so Happy to hear your dad is still with you! My dad had a similar problem, just before he died, and we had to put in a J-tube. Anything he ingested went to lungs...it is not a happy state to be in.
Will certainly pray for your father (and you!). I've reached Florida and will be coming to NY in a couple of weeks. Will give you a call.
Love, rama devi
