D,
Lynn thinks the vamps are influencing my writing ;D
Mags
Perera stopped himself mid-thought, reeled in the abstract line of brainwave-patterning he had succumbed to in a moment of panic. He had been in the ground too long, away from his kind too long, listening to the scattered natters mouthed by human minds as they relieved themselves behind the clump of highway brush that had kept him alive these many, many, many years. They drank from the earth, and he from them, only taking what he needed to maintain functioning thought.
It was a strange symbiotic relationship. The sky fed the earth, the earth fed the sky’s offerings to the brush, the brush unknowingly (maybe), fed him hope through roots wound around and through his limbs.
He had been drugged by Rux, his strength suspended by a rogue council of Messapeezzs determined to bring his homeland back to the barbaric ways of the past, his body secreted away, buried, forever forgotten by the truth, it seemed.
Yet, real hope for regaining his freedom was just inches away. Someone, a female, was peeing above him; her freed urine urging the amino acids from the blood of that severed hand, and the body it had been attached to, closer to his needs, closer...closer....Ahhhh!

I can see that, Mags, and my latest shows an affinity for yours. Seems like a cross-virus we're spreading to each other.
