Hi Emerging Poets!
I'm Brian, an Englishman living in Japan. I live near Tokyo with my wife and 2 kids, about an hours drive away from the Pacific coast. Some of you will know me already from Poetry Circle.
I look forward to reading and sharing.
Cheers.

What a delight, Brian! Love finding you here. Always enjoy your work on PC. And I know you will enjoy reading and meeting our poets here -- some voices you'll already know, but some will be new and I think you'll like them as much as I'm convinced they will like you. WELcome!!

Thank you for all your welcome messages.
Quick question - does that 10 reviews rule still apply? I've noticed some posters haven't been following this - is it OK?
Reviewing stuff on here is a little daunting - such top quality work on display!

Gosh, I've been running around these halls for several years now and must have missed the door that said Reviews, but then again, I am lost most of the time. I guess that would be a Maggie or David question.
And Brian, your poetry will fit in here just fine. I'm looking forward to seeing what some of these guys have to offer you as far as comments. I think your time here will be rewarding.

Over the years we've had various suggestions for number of Reviews to leave before Posting. In general, seems five rather than ten was what we tried for, as a courtesy ... but, you're right, some don't appear to Review before posting. Some also review off and on for a long stretch of time without ever posting, so when they do post, it just seems like they haven't put in Review time. I don't think it's monitored in any way, Brian. No Review Police hanging about. It's pretty casual and kind around here -- but great question. Mugs or D might have a different response than this -- this, only my understanding.

I'm bad about keeping count but try to be considerate and not slam the study hall with my stuff. It had been so long since I'd written anything that I consider myself up by about two or three hundred reviews. Sherry

Welcome, Brian; I'm sure you'll do fine here. The only bad review is no review. I'm always ready to listen to any suggestions even if it may not work into my Oklahoma speak. I can always bend the King's English to make it fit. Be seeing you around the place I reckon. Ron
